Many brides are looking for flowers that exude romance and are full of fluffy petals for their upcoming weddings. Pinterest boards are full of beautifully designed tablescapes and full bouquets in pastels, blush pinks, and jewel tones.
When looking at options from complete floral design with a florist to DIY bulk flowers, cost can be a large factor.
If you are a bride looking to lower costs for her flowers, here is one tip you won’t want to miss!
Florists and wholesalers have to increase cost on flowers that are difficult to source or difficult to transport.
BUT if the flowers are available and local…the cost can be less!
Think local, seasonal flowers.
But how do you know which flowers are in season for your wedding date? I can help :)
Here is a brief list of common wedding and garden flowers that and which season they like to bloom in.
An extra tip is to think about the location of where you are getting married, not necessarily where you are now. You may live in Michigan but are getting married in Florida!

This list isn’t exhaustive…so research the flowers you are wanting to feature to see what is in season! When my husband and I got married ten years ago, I really wanted ranunculus and dahlias. Both weren’t really in our price range…not to mention they aren’t in season together (I ended up choosing dahlias if you’re curious).
